What this video covers

Comparison prevention is a deceptive pattern that makes it hard to weigh options against each other, so you can't easily tell which is the better deal. Prices quoted in different units, key terms hidden or varied between tiers, and missing or inconsistent information all stop people doing the simple side-by-side maths that would reveal the best choice.

In the obscured table you couldn't actually tell which plan was cheaper - different units, missing details, nothing lined up. Put the same options in matching units and structure and the best deal jumps out instantly. That difficulty wasn't an accident; preventing comparison is how a worse-value option hides in plain sight. Honest design lines everything up so the maths does itself.
