What this video covers

Consistency means the same things look and behave the same way throughout a product - one button style, one set of colours and spacings, predictable patterns. It lets people learn an interface once and apply that knowledge everywhere, instead of re-reading every screen as if it were new.

The inconsistent panel made you stop and decode every button - which one's the main action? are these even the same kind of thing? The consistent one you could scan in a glance, because once you'd understood one control you understood them all. Same buttons, same task; consistency simply removed the friction of re-learning.
