What this video covers
Inclusive design is designing for the full range of human diversity - ability, language, age, culture, situation - so that more people can use a product, rather than designing for an imagined "average" user and excluding everyone who differs. A central insight is that solving for people at the edges often produces something better for everyone (the curb-cut effect).
Designed for the "average" user, the product quietly shut out anyone who didn't fit. Designed inclusively - for the edges - it not only included them but got better for everyone, the curb-cut effect in action. That's inclusive design: human diversity as the brief, not an afterthought. Solve for one excluded group and you usually solve for many - inclusion raises quality across the board.
