What this video covers

Providing exit points means deliberately giving people clear, graceful moments to pause, save or leave - so they stay because they want to, not because they're trapped. Natural stopping places, an obvious way out, and "save and finish later" options respect the user's autonomy and, paradoxically, tend to build the trust that keeps them coming back.

In the trap version there was never a clean moment to stop - so leaving felt like quitting. The version with exit points let you pause, save, or finish, and you came away feeling respected rather than cornered. That's the difference: provide exit points and people leave satisfied and return willingly; remove them and you win minutes but lose trust.
